CH3530 D2 Flipper .
I got this from Gearbest when GB was a viable place to shop .
I dont actually remember when I got this knife , only that it was the first good Chinese made knife .. ( I purchased )
All Chinese knives prior to this were disappointing ( edge retention ) . I think this is also about the time I started testing edge retention . ( This one scored 450 )

I printed a ferro rod holder for the belt pouch today ( been meaning to do that for a long time ) as the CH3530 is rather bushcrafty ..

Scrapes wood with the spine .. Oh yeah , does a good job too !
Slices curly bits .. Feather sticking ..
Rather than scrapping with the spine ( gives you finer wood ) , you can just slice very thin curly bits of rather hard gumtree .
There is no blade flex , so the slicing is very controllable - even on hardwood !
This knife really got me interested in a bushcrafty folder .. Yeah , I'm not batoning this knife ( folder ) .. But for simple fire starting it's more than capable .
I think it would be fantastic for day walks or as a companion knife to something larger or an axe .

Ferro - It takes huge slices of the ferro rod .. I just didn't want to slap the cast iron skillet with the CH3530 , so I might have been a little further from the pile of wood .
Also , it does throw ferro here there & everywhere . So it would have been nice to have been closer . Still , it did rip chunks of the rod !

I do like this knife ... Good solid performer lacking slop and other bad ju ju .. Ok , ferro could be a little more directional ..
But in a real woods scenario my pile of fire starter would be larger and I would have the knife closer .

Well , with the ferro rod mounted ... It's ready to rock N roll !
