My first hand forged blade

This is my first hand forged knife that I forged this past Sunday out of a small piece of titanium. I have a rough sketch as to what I want to end up with ( pictured in link) and I will skeletonize the handle and paracord wrap. The blade will be highly polished to mirror shine and I will wrap handle with orange paracord.

Hopefully all goes well. I will post pics of the process as I get it closer.

What do you guys think?

Looks like you are off to a great start, I am not experienced in working in Titanium What are your plans for HT after you get it ground out and polished? What is the Thickness?
 
Thickness is .220 right now and will hopefully not get smaller then .150 once I surface grind all flat. Once I get shaped and smoothe, I'll look into heat treating info for titanium, but as for the moment, I havent look that far ahead yet.

titanium is not really heat treatable in the conventional sense, you can harden it somewhat but not much higher than low 50's rockwell (AFAIK)

it will do ok for a neck knife though. have fun with it and let us know how it works out for you
