My First Handmade Knife

7 1/2" blade .180 ATS 34. Handle is carbon fiber with nickel silver pins, epoxied together with devcon. SS guard and cap. Handle is a semi sub hilt design that fits the hand well. Satin finshed to 600. I will probably go back and take it to 2000 soon.

Just thought I would post for hints and tips from the pros. Next blade is a nice damascus recurve I bought as a kit, my finish and handle.

That's a fine lookin' first effort there Tinkerer.

How are you planning to "take it to 2000"? You don't want to mess up all that hand sanding work. It looks great as it is.

Thanks for the kind words.

I just am not quite satisfied with the level of polish and want to step up my game and hand sand to 2000 grit wet just to see how close to mirror that takes it.
