Thanks to Auntie Yangdu for so patiently answering all of my emails. You got my vote for sainthood.

My first HI is going to be an 18" Bonecutter. She said that she will ask the Kamis to make it with a Dhar wood handle. Her post about Dhar wood really got my attention. Tough and beautiful. Sounds perfect to me.
I'm as excited about this BC as I was about the birth of my first child. I think I got the HIKV.

Congrats:) You're gonna love the BC. I still haven't gotten one for my collection yet, but they feel great in hand:thumbup:

I want a bone cutter too. Would be hard to decide between wood or horn handle though.....
Wood is good all around, bone is a little slick, but polishes up so nice.

Make sure to post pictures when you get it.

I went with wood for grip. She's going to try to get me on made of dhar wood. If none is available, it will be satisal wood. I spoke with auntie Yangdu on the phone today at about 5:00 EST. She's even sweeter than she looks. It was like talking to an old friend or a beloved family member. I like her and will continue to do business with her. She's just so nice. Plus, she's providing us with great HI products to feed our addiction. In an age where so many businesses act like they don't care if you do business with them or not, she is sincere and grateful for our business. Personally, I'm grateful that she's carrying on Uncle Bill's legacy and providing us with beautiful, tough as nails cutlery.
Auntie Yangdu gets 2 thumbs up from me. I highly recommend HI.
Now, to get the money for a Tarwar, AK Bowie, Uddha sword, C kerambit, Katana, Tamang, ASTK, M43, WWII, Tibetan sword, and a few more.

I can't wait to chop and split wood with my Bonecutter.
