I just recieved my first HI Kuk directly from HI...it was a great experience. I love my new KUK too! I think I have the HI bug! I need more!
i bought a 15" bonecutter...I dont know the maker, but it looks like a leaf or srawberry as the makers mark. I cant wait to get in the woods and give this awesome tool a workout.:D

Grats, you have the HIKV like most of us welcome aboard. Post some pics when you can.

I believe it to be a leaf, and if so, it is Murali Kami's symbol.

I have three HI blades by him, one been a 12inch Bonecutter, and am very pleased with his skills overall.

A fine Khukuri, and hope you get the chance to take some photo's soon.

Congratulations.
The first step of the journey.
Look forward to your thoughts on and pictures of your new khukuri and the others that follow.
wildmike is right, you know.

Well, sorry no pics right now, but i did test it out today, great little chopper...I buffed up the edge, and it takes hair off easily. I like it.:D

Just to be clear, I do have 3 KUKs from HI right now..this is the first one that I bought straight from yangdu. I really like the feel of this one. I need one about 16-17" now. I have an 18" WWII and 20" CAK. The CAK has taken a serious beating at my hands, and still wants more. Its just a bit on the heavy side for bushwacking...I am really into these KUKs though.
Just a great all around survival tool, with so many uses and implications to bushcraft. Chopper, Drawknife, Shovel, Hammer, weapon, did I mention CHOPPER.
