My Super-CAK arrived in the triangular USPS Priority Mail box and I immediately noticed the weight when the post man handed it to me. I took it back to my shop and opened it up. Wow! I thought I knew what "massive" meant when talking about a knife - apparently I was wrong. I have seen short swords smaller than this.
The entire outfit weighs 3.66 pounds. The 18" Super CAK weighs a stunning 2.94 pounds by itself. The handle really feels good. I wear XL sized gloves and this handle is great given the dynamics of the knife. The way it is balanced is superb. You can tell the depth of knowledge to understand how all these things are related - the angles, weights, handle shape and so forth.
After I wiped off the oil from the steel and started carefully looking things over I quickly noticed how well the pieces are fitted together. Bear in mind that before this, the only Khukris I had seen were the junk ones. Everything shows craftsmanship. I didn't expect to like the sheath and instead was very impressed by it.
The thickest part of the spine just ahead of the handle is 0.492" thick and tapers slightly to 0.438" at the shoulder. The belly is 2.62" thick and 0.399" at the top edge as the lower spine tapers down to the point. You can tell it wants to chop - when the front gains momentum, it does not want to stop!
Here are some pictures of this great khukri from Bhakta Kami:

Now I know why guys have always said to go to Himalayan Imports if you want a real Khukri. Now, thanks to the DOTD posts, I have a new addiction. I have to get some more of these. Honestly, I am profoundly impressed and want to thank Bhakta Kami and everyone involved with this knife at BirGorkha.
Maybe it's because I have been reading all I can on the HI website and here about the kamis and what they do, but I feel like I bought more than just a knife. I have owned plenty of knives where they were cold and lifeless. This has soul to it.
