When I emailed Yangdu last week to check on my order I was told I wouldn't be getting this until July, what a surprise to find this sitting on my porch today!
It's a Chiruwa Ang Khola with wood handles. It's perfect, this thing just oozes quality. I have a feeling that this won't be my only Khuk for long!

And just for fun, zombie apocalypse survival kit pic:

A Century Polish M60 milled AK goes nicely with the CAK! The CAK's are truly a BEAST, I think you're going to love it [if you don't already]!

Those two do compliment each other nicely! Nice CAK. Your going to love it. Take care.

I love the Polish AK as well. One of my favorite guns.

I just couldn't contain my excitement to use this thing so I went down to the basement and tested it out on some junk 2x4's I had laying down there. My god is this thing a beast. It was splitting 2x4's with a light chop only using the power of the weight of the blade.

More CAK love!!

Not as good a pic, but here's a pair of AKs and a pair of CAKs (on some good Asian Tigerstripe BDUs):

I have a Ruger Mini 30 that I will be Photographing with my new HI when I get it ..lol
Nothing quite like a proper gun to go with a proper knife, nice stuff guys.

We have similar taste in weaponry it appears. M60 Polish AK, XDm .45, and M-43 for me.

Good luck with your first kukri! You certainly picked a bomb proof model, I'm sure it will meet or beat your expectations.

Welcome! The CAK is the perfect choice as your first khuk -- to me, it's the yard stick with which to measure all others. With the CAK, you might decide you prefer smaller, more agile blades like the Chitlangi or ASTK, or that you like bigger choppers, like the M43 and Ganga Ram Special. I myself tend to enjoy the stouter blades, and choose my Sgt. Khadka Bonecutter above all others. More HI/AK love (pardon the crappy iPhone pic quality):

Here's a pic of the three I mentioned earlier. I woke Cyn up while I was fetching the M-43, and thought I was gonna have to defend myself with it !

Table full of zombie-slaying goodness.

You know, it IS ok to have just one khukuri.

Welcome, btw.

:)

That's like stopping at a bowl full of M&Ms, taking just one, and walking away:). Only a seasoned monk, the type who asks you to snatch a pebble from his hand and calls you grasshopper, has that sort of will power.

I'd like to add that this whole thread is chock-full of win.

Haha indeed. Might as well show off my other two AK's while i'm at it. First is your standard WASR-10 which I put black furniture on, and second is an Unconverted Norinco Mak-90 I picked up last week that i'm going to do a conversion on.
