I have always been intrigued by traditional Khukuri blades. Finally made the leap and picked up my first one. Thank you Yangdu
Great service and speedy delivery. Came shipped and in my hands in under a week from order.

I knew what I was getting ordering a villager blem. I was planning on using it hard so not much worry on minor blems. Plus I am the type that has no problem using a little sandpaper and files to do minor finishing work on my knives. I am very pleased with the fit and finish on my new khuk. Feels great in hand very comfortable with traditional grip. Feels like it was made for my hand. I wear xl gloves and the handle felt great.

Some fine work and whittling. For a beast of a knife it handles very well.

After some tough use I am very impressed by HI steel and heat treat. No rolls or chips on edges I have seen this same type of wood chip or fold CS choppers and other 1095 modern carbon steels.5 mins with sandpaper and stone sharpener good as new.

Overall HI has great service and an awesome product. I can't wait to take it out to the ranch and get to work. Thanks

Nice overview and pictures, Cowboy. Bhakta makes a great blade. Thanks for posting.

I had to go back and look and was a little surprised that this is a 15" model. The 12"-15" range is very useful. Larger 16"-17"er's are pretty much dedicated choppers. Now you all see why i love my AK/CAK's so much.

Nice Review, Cowboy....and nice pics. Thank you.

nice aren't they. good pics. love thatwood handle. that is what i want to use to re-handle my 18" Ang khola.

That mesquite is nasty stuff! Nice lookin' khuk. Take care.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I did a touch more sanding and oiled the handle with rem oil. Very happy with my first HI kuk.

Your first but I bet you not your last Kukri. As you have shown CowboyStyle the 15 inch 19 ounce villager or similar is a big little tool. I think with a saw and small knife you can do most outdoor camping tasks easily and efficiently.

Very good pictures by the way .
