I just picked up my first XM-18 today and I'm so stoked that I just had to share! I've always been a fan of Rick's designs and have been lusting after one of these for a long time now. I finally worked up the will and the funds to purchase one from a fellow member. Went to the Post Office this morning to pick it up and was tearing open the packaging before I even hit the parking lot. I've been carrying it all day and I must say that the quality, fit & finish are outstanding. I was not let down at all. My problem now is that I want more of them! Anyways, here's a pic...

 
Good for you! That's awesome - I know that feeling, getting that knife you want, when you can't break your way into the package fast enough, and you think you're gonna just about explode from the unreleased excitement. Congratulations!
 
"Knife High" is the best! And Hinderers give great Knife High!!! :) And if you've already caught the "I want more" bug... you are in trouble! ;)
 
I felt exactly the same way when I got my first Hinderer (XM-18 3.5" Spanto w/S35V). They make great stuff. All of it. Congratulations!
 
Thanks guys! I'm still riding the high. I opened my eyes this morning and the first thing I did was reach over to my knife stand to grab my XM haha.

I definitely have to agree with the sentiment. It just "feels" like superior quality.

congrats! still working on getting me one, may take a while as i just splurged on some stuff from blade:D
 
You hit it on the head...the biggest problem is wanting more of them.

They are exciting because as you collect each will have a different story to it as well as each will most likely be different in some way.
But yes, your First is...... your First :)
 
CWIN congrats on the most iconic Hinderer design IMHO. Welcome to the addition please join us in all the great discussions and fun we have here on the Hinderer sub forum. Great members and the Mods are the best! Be warned this place only whets your appetite for more Hinderers and accruements.
