I recently finished my version of a Hudson Bay pattern. It has a 1#11oz head hand forged from mild steel with a 5160 bit welded in. I bought a kiln dried hickory plank and made the 24" handle. This may be the only one I ever do with a clean finish. It's a lot more work. I am still learning so there are things that I will try to keep improving, like handle fit up. Some of you guys make mine look sad. But if you will bear with me a few minutes I will post pics. For some reason I can't start a topic from my laptop but I can from my phone but I dont know how to post pics from my phone.
