Well, won some skins at Duncan's Hammer-in and I decided it was time to make an inlay sheath. Tougher than I thought. :D

BTW -- The top square isn't "square" because the guard is slanted.

Let me have some honest feedback --

very nice for a first Mike, I always like to see tooling and not
so square corners
doing rounded corners with the sewing following gives it a bit
of character of its own and the tooling will take the eye from anyone place
on the sheath, just needs to be a little more busy I think
but that's just my thoughts on it. :(
your doing great.. ;)

Thanks for the comments gents -- Dan, I appreciate the feedback. I think the rounded corners would have been a nice touch and would have made it "flow" a little bit.

thanks mike
yes sharp corners are just that..if it follows the blade shape that helps too.

I don't want to steal the thread but I do want to show you my
first one:o .. good term BTW Flowing
I'll PM it to you.. :)

Looks terrific from here, Mike. That's honest feedback from me, because I can't make a sheath worth a hoot!

I'll second what Dan G said - as to "flow" here's a great example by Chris Kravitt

Sandy M once told me that sheaths are like women - they should all have curves :D and I heartily agree.
