my first Becker, and also my first production fixed blade of any quality. It's the BK14/Eskabar.
i cant wait till it gets here. i was already thinking of trying to make some micarta for a bit of fun, so i might make some micarta handles for it, i also have some red cedar laying around so i might use that instead. not really sure what ill do :P, definently cut stuff though XD.

Congrats.
Micarta scales are a great project to do if you have the hardware and a Dremel. It's even better if you make your own micarta as well.

You'll love your 14! I know I love mine, both of them. :D
My edc has a custom wooden handle. Really comfortable and just a great little knife. I'll see if I can post a pic.

Nice wrap job Moose. I'm just learning wraps now. Used to only have folders. Getting more into fixed. Love my Becker! Ready for more!

Something like the BK14/11 will make a folder seem just plain obsolete. It did for me, but now I'm back to big ass folding kntives, cause, well, I like big knives.

There is always a 14 or 11 stashed on me or around just about all time anyways. :D

I have the 14, wanting to order the 11 and BK2 this week. Got mine stripped and trying to decide on what to use for a forced patina.

Red meat. Go buy you a whole ribeye, make sure the blade is oil free and start cuttin'.

She'll patina up after a dozen or so of them ribeye's. :D

Good thing I'm eating lobster right now, otherwise you'd make me hungry.

Welcome, and we'll look forward to pics of the 14!

does anyone know of a good cheap way to carry this horizontal on the belt? (by cheap i mean stuff i can probably just find around the house such as cheap guitar straps, old belts, etc)

I used some 1" nylon webbing...I did pay like 20 cents for it but I'm sure if you REALLY cant spare the money you could find some around the house on an old bag or something.

They were gifted to me, but forum member Sh@rp was the one that made them. Haven't seen him around for some time.
