Serpentine Jack in purple sage. I think this may turn into my everyday carry.

Great looking color on that bone. Excellent choice!

THAT'S what this old man thinks of when he hears "traditional folder"! Great choice!

Gorgeous knife. I have the slim version. These make me wonder why there are (relatively) so few traditional pocketknives with rounded bolsters.

I almost picked up the Northfield version until I noticed the bolster and end cap seemed to be crimped. I almost didn't notice from the photos. I do like the rounded ones better.

That's a really nice knife. The covers really stand out. It'll make a great every day carry knife.

Since you posed it on a 2-dollar bill I'll tell you a quick story: Up through the 1960s, if you were on board a ship, the U.S. Navy paid off in $2 bills. So come payday, we'd line up at the disbursing office and were paid with $2 bills. It was possible because we didn't make much money in those days. I was a Seaman (E-3) in 1965 aboard the USS Henley (DD 762) and my pay was roughly $90.00 per month. Anyway, after taxes, I got about $42.00 every two weeks so every payday I got 21 $2 bills. The Navy did this for the U.S. Treasury in an attempt at keeping the $2 bill in circulation. Didn't work in the long run but you could tell when it was a Navy payday as all of a sudden $2 bills would start showing up around town.

That purple sage is beautiful! The #66 is one of my favorites as well, after seeing you pics I may have to find one in that configuration also.

Neat story Ed:thumbup: I love learning anything history wise, that combined with my interest of old coins and bills is just a plus:cool:

I rec'd the very same knife today Robert and I love it:thumbup: I had the same knife before but in Tractor green covers and the Purple Sage on this knife is outstanding---oddly enough I don't see a hint of purple:)

Love the VINTAGE $2.00 also;)
