First - pics.

Got it new and unused from a guy for around 70€.

Just oiled the edge and went to snap some pics.

My first impressions - just what a beauty. Just awesome looking knife.

Really good grip, it feels very natural in my hand, spot on fit and finish, nicely crafted leather sheath... I'm more than pleased.

I don't plan on using this knife, it is a piece of history if you ask me.

But, if I ever need it - it will serve me well. It's tried and tested knife with history behind it.

Use it and use it often. Learn it's strengths and it's weaknesses and grow from it.
They produce these in mass quanties so don't put it away thinking it's rare.

There’s a million of them out there, use the knife, and enjoy it.
I agree. I can't fully appreciate it if I don't use it.
One of the best looking fixed blades ever made IMO.
Agree with that too.
Definitely a classic but get the leather handled version for history.
That's probably what I'm going to do.

This is exactly what I'm going to do. It'll go with me on BBQ camping this week, I plan to use it for food prep, clearing some brushes and some other stuff. No batoning or similar nonsense tho.

1095CV is a joy to sharpen as any other carbon steel, and this knife is just such a classic and so well made that it'd be a pity not to use it
