Here is my first Kershaw... it's a Blur.

So far (with my limited knowledge & comparing to my knife collection), I think Kershaw might be the best bang for the buck knife you can buy. It's a fun blade to play with, its well designed, light and looks good too.

My only gripes the clip... it sucks. It definitely could be better with a deeper carry..

especially in tip down carry, the clip is something you will grow to love. it is long, unobtrusive, and just disappears when put against a background like blue denim. tip up is OK, but tip down is just amazing as to how nice it is. bending the clip out a bit is also helpful.

I just switched it back too tip down, we'll see how it goes.

My biggest gripe is how it kind of has two stages... you really have to pull on it to get that extra 1/8 inch.

Here at BF, with only 10 posts, and you have already learned what takes some folks years to learn, and that is "Kershaw may be the best bang for the buck knife you can buy."

I'd say you are well on your way grasshopper!

Be thankful the Blur has the clip it does instead of the horrendous clip styles on some Kershaw's. ( Zing , JYDII to name a few ) :D

Yea other than a few flamboyant pocket clips , Kershaw makes the best quality for the dollar in my book.

The Blur's clip is placed for the fastest draw in tip-up carry. I still am the fastest with my Blur (unless you include my waved groove).

Still Kershaw's #1 larger EDC knife. Love all three of mine!

I've had a Blur for about 3 years now. Really like it. Mine is grey/black. Yea it would be nicer if the carry was a little deeper. If you were really concerned about deep carry you would be better off with a color other than red.
Enjoy it.

I think I'm going to try the Skyline out next... any other suggestions by Kershaw? I'm trying to spend less on my knives so I'd like to spend 40-80 dollars instead of what I usually spend.

Manual- Speedform II
Flipper- RAM
Assisted- Random Task II

Three of my favorites and Kershawguy(Dave) has all of them in your price range.
