and certainly not my last !! The feeling I had when I pulled the blade from the frog for the first time was incredible !!
This is my 20" Ang khola with oak handles. It is simply put - AWESOME.
Can any of you forumites tell who made this knife by looking at the markings ? Any info would be cherished. :D

That's Noni the killer Shih-Tzu guarding my blade.

My buddy Rob ordered a 22" Ganga Ram Special 5 minutes after seeing this beauty for the first time. Lol, he had to have one bigger than mine.:D Can't wait to see his and compare.

Beautiful blade! It is a Bhakta, if I'm not mistaken. That is a lovely polish job. Mine are all high "magic stone" polish. These khuks are stunning and must have crack in the laha. Once you handle one you cannot resist buying more. Take care.

Edit: That might not be Bhakta. His mark usually has an arrow through a bow. Your "bow" could actually be mountains, which I believe was used by a past Kami. Was it Bura? Whoever it was made a really nice khuk!

Thank you for the info. I will try to find more info about the Kami who made this blade at HI website. Agreed, these knives are instantly addicting. Can you explain "crack in the laha" This is my first Khuk and I'm afraid I don't understand that part of your comment....

"Laha" is the home grown epoxy the kamis use on the handles. I say "crack", as in crack cocaine, since these khuks are so addictive:). Enjoy your khuk and please post any questions you have. The increased activity and new blood on the forum is very welcome. Take care.

Your new/first khukuri was made by Rajkumar, and a very fine specimen it is HairahSitna. Although I said this earlier in another post, Welcome to the HI Forum. Like jdk1 said it is good to have new folks showing up and there have been quite a few lately. I can only see it being a benefit for HI. Oh yeah, make sure that you've read the Safety Sticky since we want to see you come back unmolested. Have fun with it.

Peace

Rick

Thanks for all the welcomes, and especially stickfred for coming up with the name of the Kami - Rajkumar. I will be going right over to the HI website and checking out his bio. The pure pleasure I feel every time I hold the blade up and it looks almost like it's liquid, just amazing - he is indeed a fine knifemaker.
Could any of you guys recommend a place to find a nice looking stand to hold 3 Khuks ? I already have 2 more on order, and just read the sticky about "sharking the DOTD". I'll be looking to score another one as a gift for a friend who is moving out of the country.

Big hunk of steel--- and so shiny too:D
Now you just have to get it a little brother so it won't be lonely.:)

I have been a dog trainer most of my life and trust me, that dog is asking; "what the hell are you going to do with that!!!?"

Very nice first blade, hope you enjoy it!

welcome to the HI and Forum:)

Gorgeous polish and great workmanship on that guy! I've owned a few AK's and none of them had that super polish to them. Beautiful job on the scabbard and handle as well!

Great pictures and thanks for sharing.
