Where is the knife made?

The Klein knives I've seen here lately are made in japan

Klein makes electrician's tools; they outsource their knife manufacture.

THE best electrician tools, and hand tools. A lot of people can't justify spending the extra money on basic hand tools, unless they use them daily at work. Try a Klein screwdriver a few times and you'll be hooked, especially the phillips. Same with all their pliers. Sort of like using a good knife for the first time, you won't understand until you try it. And all their pliers and screwdrivers are made in the USofA.

In the online catalog, one of the new Klein knives I saw was marked U.S.A. (perhaps made by Camillus?). Klein like Craftsman and others began having some of their products made in Taiwan, Japan etc. While I have had Japanese Klein adjustable wrenches of excellent quality, I suspect declining sales compelled these companys to return to domestic sources for many of their products. All my older Klein knives are US made but I'm sure there is plenty of Japanese old new stock still around.
