Rotte had a contest a while back that I managed to win, and he SO VERY GRACIOUSLY allowed me the prize of 100 dollars to a Blade Forum maker. I chose Andy 'Fiddleback Forge' Roy for the job.

I had a very vauge notion of what I wanted - the entire thread can be seen here:

Essentially - I wanted Andy to meld two of his styles (Hunter and Ladyfinger). It was a tall order and Andy quickly made up a prototype for me to test.

I let that gestate for a while and started sketching. I would sketch - post - and get told by Tony that is sucked. Sketch more - more sucking... But finally I got something I thought was right (with a lot of input from the angry Cuban).

Rotte was eyes on target the whole time and gave his thumbs up to the final design and I sent it, with the prototype back to Andy. Andy got caught up on other work and then gusted out the first of the line.

The handle material is Natural Canvas Micarta under Osage Orange!

Finished pics of the first one:

I am VERY stoked about this one. Andy will be making more - so get over to his forum and put in an order if you are interested.

Dude - it is pretty easy ripping stuff off for designs that are already awesome - the fact that Andy made it look pretty much exactly like the picture is the amazing part!

Looks sharp, TF:thumbup: Nice design and great execution! What are the specs?

You can see a lot on the pictures:

01 Steel, Scandi Grind.

Blade width - about one inch at base.
Blade Length - JUST under 4 inches.
Handle length - 4.750 inches
Handle width, at palm swell - A little over an inch.

Here was the drawing I send Andy - tell me that doesn't look JUST like it!

Great looking design. It doesn't get much better in a knife nuts world than having a great maker turn your own design into reality.

Great looking blade! I was following this over in the makers area. It came to life very nicely.
