I like to finish my crown knots with a Matthew Walker knot and let the ends hang a bit. I've found I love tying lanyards, but hate having them on my knives![]()
Stormdrane has a lot of info on knots and lanyards and cord wrapping of various sorts. As does TIAT - Tying It All Together. I own his Decorative Fusion Knots book. If you are easily offended you may not want to search for the TIAT stuff except on YouTube as he also has books and things under Knotty Boys that use ropes in more.. creative.. ways.
I want one. How do you make that knot?
Well it's called a "crown sinnet".....try not to get intimidated by the first knot, once that one is done its really easy!
Here's a good tutorial.

Happy knot tying!

If you can find a bead you like to use as a stopper of sorts between the knife and lanyard, it will make it very easy to tie.Huh, it's definitely easier to start the knot when you aren't tying straight to the knife lol. TIAT finished his fob with a different knot than I used too...
