with the intention of giving away. and Also the best one I have made to date IMO.

1075/1080
2.25" cutting edge
5.5" overall
japanese wrap
cobra skin under the wrap

while finishing it I liked the way the steal looked with the polished edges and the center left alone so I kept it like that. Kind of a faux hamon.

Awesome job bud!

I have recently put a lot of thought it making a knife. It seems like it could be a great hobby, especially for a knife enthusiast!!

Anyways, keep it up! You never know, maybe in time you will have your own subforum here! :o

thanks,

I'm finally getting the hang of a somewhat decent grind line...this is def the best one I have made to date.

you should definately give it t try. At the very least it will give you a greater appreciation for what these guys who make custom knives are doing. It is a lot more work than I originally thought. And a much lighter hand than I would have imagined.

Nice lookin knife, i have tried a couple but they just keep kickin my butt, totally thought it would go a bit easier than i have encountered..... keep up the good work.

yea, they have been kicking my butt also. but 12$ for 5' of 1080 i'm not too worried about what i'm losing...everytime I make one I learn something new about what I am doing wrong, or something I'm doing right...
