Hi guys. my first post, my first knife. after a project making some stilts for a costume for my wife, i had some steel left over. i ended up making it into the knife you see in the links. (anyone know how to embed from google drive, or should i host elsewhere?) sadly, it's mild steel, which i didn't know anything about when i began, so it's not hardened and barely has an edge. but it makes a great letter opener! flaws everywhere, partly because i didn't have the right tools, just a hacksaw, bastard file and a dremel tool.
how'd i do? be honest - i realized along the way of making this that i really want to try to be good at this and make a living from it. though i won't be doing hidden tang and double edge stuff again anytime soon.
