I've never owned a knife before. Well I finally had the urge don't know why. I spent a few days researching on this site first tho. I got a really good deal on Amazon 23 bucks plus tax shipped same day. There is of course a story behind this deal. they screwed up on the original order and then gave me same-day shipping to compensate and then on checkout I signed up for the Amazon card to get a $30 discount

Kershaw blur. Seems pretty sharp to me but of course this is my first knife it does however slice paper with almost no pressure. I kinda wish the blade was silver instead of black but I do really like it.

That's a great first knife, congratulations! If you are interested in learning to sharpen your knife I suggest looking in the Maintenance & Tinkering sub forum. There's a wealth of knowledge there about how to put a killer edge on any knife.

Congrats on the knife, and welcome to the forum!

Stick around long enough and "silver" will become "satin", and $23 will become $230 ;)

And when you get tired of that handle/blade combination there are a couple others to choose from lol

Congrats, the Blur is a great knife, and as you can see is made in a ton of variations in color, blade shape, steels etc.

LMAO, that's too true. On second thought knifeatagunfight, leave now before it's too late to turn back!
And welcome to the site man.

THIS IS INSANE

Its photos like these that reassure me that Im FAR from out of control with my knife purchasing......:p

I was thinking something along those lines.

Yo dawg, we heard you like Blurs, so we put some Blurs with yo Blurs, so you can Blur while you Blur!

Nice choice. I'm a Zero Tolerance guy (same manufacturer, flagship brand), but I own three Blurs and I love 'em. Great knives for the money.

Kershaw are a very solid brand. Stick around here long enough and you'll see countless "What's the best knife for under $100" threads, and the Kershaw name is pretty much guaranteed to show up at least once.

Regarding the sharpness, I'd say if it can slice through paper cleanly like you described you're good to go. You'll still want to pick up some type of sharpening system or materials; it's much easier to maintain the good edge that you have now than it will be to re-establish it down the road.

Very good choice, IMHO Kershaw is a best value at any price point....but like others have said...run now and save yourself!
