well here it is. this knife was forged in my home made propane forge it was a one inch pin that held somthing on a peice of heavy equipment what i dont know but the pin was so hard that it couldnt be drilled with a cobalt
bit when the bade was finished and sharpened i did a torture test i cut thru a 2x4 and the blade would still aggressively cut thru hemp plastic and nylon rope.the overall lengthis 8 1/2 "the width is 1" even thbade is 3 1/2"in length and it is 3/16 thick please give me your honest opinoin http://albums.photopoint.com/j/ViewPhoto?u=93676&a=684287

Great job! I really like the lines. Very attractive and certainly not a cookie cutter knife. Marcus

Good on you!!! One inch bar without a power hammer is a lot of forging!!

I have three suggestions:

1. Never sell your first knife, You will enjoy it 10 years from now when you see how far you have come! Now you can be proud of how far you have gone!!

2. You are doing well, use known steel so some of the rest of us who are a little farther down the road than you, can help if somthing goes wrong!!

3. You are hooked, keep going!!!!!!!
May the forge be with you!!
