ok here it goes!

After taking a 16 hour 2 day instructional class from Bob Warner, this is my first completed knife from start to finish. Everything was done by me under his instruction. In my honest opinion you can't beat the class he offers. Not only did I get full hands on instructional class, the knife is mine to keep. Please let me know what you guys think.

Stock Removal knife made of 1084 steel
Heat treated by me with temper line
Thuya burl scales with Brass Bolsters and pins

Also here is a link to a few pictures and descriptions of me making the knife. I would highly recomend him to anyone interested in making knives and wants to take a formal class on how to do it.:D

grasshopper bwitty, you have come to the mountain and you have gazed upon the master. Good job.guy! Now, you can kick some butt with some knife making! You have a grand teacher, and you paid attention,I can see.

You have every right to be proud of that one. Real nice and a nice design too. Bob Warner is a real maker of top notch ranking in my and other's view.

Don't make this the last one you share with us. Just make it your first. You are going to do very well.

Nice knife, looked like you were having fun,Bob is a heck of a nice guy and he looks like a good teacher.:)

You were smart to take instruction, and you couldn't have picked a better teacher! That's a classic, is it a user or you going to worship it like we do so many others? :D Nice temper line too! Can't wait to see what's next...

Mr. Warner seems like a heck of a guy and a good teacher. I hope to have equally impressive news next monday.

man-oh-man...talk about "first-knife-jealousy-pain"...

Byron was really good at understanding WHY I wanted him to do things. If you understand why, figuring out HOW is a lot easier.

We took our time and practiced on scrap steel. Byron gained his confidence quickly and the knife progressed well. We were right on the schedule I had planned out all the way through. Byron worked safely and waited until the knife was finished and his name was on it before he tried to cut his finger off with it.

THEM THINGS CAN GET SHARP!!!!

I think we will see more from Byron in the future.

It was a very educational experience for me!

And Dave, to answer your question....its already on display, I dun wanna mess it up!

Looking good! I wish that when I started I could have found a teacher, would have saved a pile of scrap metal!

Congrats Byron! Looks like you done good. That was a smart move taking the time to get some instruction and you picked a good teacher.
