Sort of a cute utility knife. Good first effort. Clean up the bevel to the edge a bit (it may not be finished in the photos). I like the "Brute de Forge" look on the blade surface.

Thanks for all your comments, bit suprised they were all good ones, Cheers

I am hoping to rub all of the grind marks out, and polish it up a little, I left the rough marks at the top of the blade as I love the texture, don't know if that is a good thing or not, but I like it!

I wanted a small knife to use while camping etc, something not to big, but suitable for what ever crops up while camping, fishing, cooking, tent maintenance etc. hehe! :-)

Cheers

I noticed that in the bottom picture there appears to be a crack or void in the handle material. If that is the case, fill it in with a clear superglue (I use cyanoacrylic) and hand sand it down. The void will be way less visible and it will stop the crack from progressing. Other than that, really nice for a first knife. Keep expirementing, and if you run into any problems, a quick search or post on forums will help you out quite a bit.

Keep em' coming

Your picture is a little blurry. If you are using a digital camera, back off just a little, take the picture, and use the software on the computer to zoom up to the desired distance. Your pictues will be a lot clearer. Your knife looks great. Keep them coming.

Cheers for the tip, I will have a go at the weekend taking some better pics

Thanks for the tip about the crack, I will try that, I had problems when riveting the scales on, as bog oak is really splitty!

Cheers
