Here are some pictures of my first knife that I just made. I hope you like them. The blade steel is CPM-S30V and I designed it off the excellent Spyderco Fred Perrin FB04, One of my all time favorite knifes. I am still working on the kydex sheath. I was lucky enough to have Tom Buckner from Buckner knifes (http://www.bucknerknives.com/index.html) take me under his wing and show me a few tricks of the trade.
I first sketched out the knife.
Then I glued it onto a slab of CPM-S30V
After I cut the rough shape out
Starting to grind the blade
After the first round of sanding. I also hollow ground the handle to take out a little weight
After the heat treat
Gluing the handle (black linen micarta)
The finished product
