These are the first three knives I have made. The one on the left was the first. The handle on it was made from an ironwood tree that fell in my woods. The middle knife was made for my son and is his design. The one on the right I made to use at work.

My son and I are taking these knives to use at the Pathfinder School this weekend.

Here is my 7th knife. I am doing the kydex as well. It is O1 steel, about 6 1/2" blade with Micarta, brass corbys, and a green liner.

This little neck knife is made from the left over steel from the knife above. It is about 5 1/4" inches long. I am wearing it everywhere! I hardened it to 60 Rc since it won't be beaten up too bad from batoning and such. It holds an edge really good.

It comes from trying to stay simple in the beginning and just add new things, one at a time, with each knife.

Going for broke on the first knife is a mistake, IMHO.

Slow and methodical is the only way I can learn this and turn out knives that I can be proud of.
