My first leather project

Thanks! Yes it does. It has the kydex sheath sandwiched inside of the leather. It has the retention that the original kydex had plus a little more because I stitched the leather up more than the tension screw location on the kydex. The battle mistress was a little to heavy for the kydex to keep in place when turned upside down and given a shake. That's one of the reasons I wanted to modify it so I could put a snap strap on the handle. I still kept the screw holes so I could use a teklok to strap it to my pack. The only thing left to finish is to find some Chicago screws that are the right length.

Thanks Knifeleather! I bookmarked them last night so I could check them out at work tomorrow. Do you know if they ship small quantities or will I have to order in batches of 100 or so?

Thanks guys! I like the kydex concept and would have probably stayed with it if it would have kept the knife really secure. I mean I don't plan on being upside down and shaking but if I toss my pack down and it rolls I don't want my expensive chopper flying out. The kydex sheath proved a very useful template. I have been looking at all of the beautiful leatherwork on this site since I started it and have come to appreciate the artistic beauty that a lot of you guys perform effortlessly.

Very cool! I`ve been thinking about a leather/kydex hybrid. If I go that way I hope it turns out as nice as yours.

Thanks all, I really appreciate it! Any constructive criticism on what I could have done better besides screw it up with my nonexistent skill set with stamping and designing?
