hey, i finished my first leather sheath today. it's not perfect, but im pleased with how it turned out. it rides very low, made to slide into my back pocket and hang from my belt.

i still need to buff the surface a little to get out that gloss from the leather finish. it needs a little work on the edges too, to make it nice and round, but i don't have a belt sander. the stitching could have been straighter.

Great job!
You can hand sand the edges, no need for power tools when you have elbow grease.
Dampen and sand. Work your way up through the grits.
Then I polish with a bic lighter, or bullet brass.

Get started on #2!
:D

thanks everyone!

i need to make another one for sure.

on this one, not enough of the handle is exposed, which makes the knife kind of hard to draw. it's a combination of not enough handle and the leather being too tight.

also the stitching isn't in a straight line, which drives me crazy. it's sad because this very simple sheath, from start to finish, took me like 3 hours to complete.
