Well, after a lot of tips and encouragement from my teacher Mike Vagnino, I finally finished my first liner lock today. I've been working hard on this for the past couple of days. I just wanted to share with everyone my latest knifemaking achievement and see what you guys think. It has a 3 1/2" blade, O1 steel, titanium liners, G10 scales. The action is very smooth, lockup is just right and no blade play in any direction. Thanks for looking:)

I had a chance to handle this knife. The lock-up was soooo tight and the action soooo smooth that I couldn't stop opening and closing it! Great job Ray!!!!

Ray,

Really looks like you caught the folder bug!

After looking at the pictures again, I think whats cool about this liner lock is the thin grind on the blade. Looks very useful for slicing and the other day to day chores that slips are so good for.

You think you will be making any of these in a scaled down version? Say 3 3/4 closed length?

Guys, thanks for the nice comments. I definately got the folder bug. They are so much more fun to make.

Ken, I plan to make all different sizes and shapes!

Marcel, the titanium is .050" thick

Ken - I have a few knives from Ray, and he doesn't know how to make a thick edge - that is one of the things I really like about his work. His knives actually cut.

I got to look at this one yesterday, and it really turned out well.

Ray - I WANT one!! If this is anything like your FBs (as I am sure it is!), this is a must have for me. I will email you.
