I could not stop thinking about this one, so I finally pulled the trigger. It arrived this afternoon and I am blown away!

Please excuse the poor quality cell phone photos... :o

The SR-2A. Spectacular craftsmanship, very comfortable in hand, and came sharp as the dickens right out of the box. Such a handsome devil, too! I had a helluva time choosing which colour I liked best but went with orange in the end (just to add a bit of spice to my collection.) I'm also excited to experience Sleipner steel, which I've heard very good things about...

A tip o' the cap to the good folks at LionSteel! You have a new customer and I look forward to acquiring a few more in the future!:cool:

Congrats. The orange SR-2A is a great-looking handy EDC folder and for its price gives you a lot including Sleipner steel.

I really dig this little guy...:cool:

That's a beauty that's on my short list.

Could you SR2 owners tell me how slicey they are? Will it cut through and apple or will blade thickness break it for example?

The SR-2 slices quite well for such a thick blade, imo. I think many will want to reprofile the factory convex edge, however.

I've looked at those as well, except the Ti version. Correct me if I'm wrong, aren't they right about the same size as the DPx?

I'm just wondering if I'd actually gain anything, but that one piece Ti handle is just way cool.

The knife has been growing on me substantially. I hated the looks at first bug now really like them. Only seen them at the gunshow but I will have to add it to my list to buy.

Those are some awesome scales you made! What is the material you used, if you don't mind me asking?

Oops, forgot to congratulate you on the two new LionSteels tw, and they are awesome, as I have found the LionSteel knives I've had to be.

Joe58, you are correct about the one piece ti handles being cool. The aluminum handles are also one piece and pretty cool themselves, especially with the vibrant anodizing LionSteel uses!

The scales are Box Elder Burl stabilized. (Not high jacking)
TW: I looked at an SR when I bought the Opera. The SR is really smooth and well built, just not my style and a bit beefier than I go for. It is a nice piece nontheless. Congratulations! I hope you enjoy it.

Its just my opinion I just heard about lionsteel knives and was sharing my thoughts. If its what the dude likes, whatever floats your boat. I am glad to see somebody get enjoyment out of a knife.

It was a gift for my wife. Maybe someday when you reach adulthood; a different level of maturity and have crafted things from scratch with your hands you may begin to appreciate craftsmanship and not simply judge things on your personal desire to own. As you stated you gave your opinion and as with everyone you are entitled to it.
Thanks to everyone for the kind comments and my apology to the OP for imposing to this extent in his thread; as it was not my intent.

Beautiful choice, I just ordered a lionspy. I've got my eye a bronze ti or green aluminum lionsteel as well.
