My First Lockback

In April of last year I made the crazy decision to make my first slipjoint. It was a zulu which was and still is one of my all time favorite patterns. But at the time I really wanted to make a lockback version. I just didn't have the skill set to do it yet. I finally worked up the courage to make one and sent an e-mail to my friend Enrique to see if he could send me a pattern. He was gracious enough to do so. After tweaking it just a bit to make it my style here is what I came up with. Still haven't been able to make a perfect knife yet so please excuse the imperfections. But all in all I am pretty happy with how this first one turned out.

Thanks for looking!

Great looking lockback Jared. It´s what we have come to expect from you.

Now go make some more:D

So clean and crisp. Just a beautiful knife.

Your Lanny's clips are outstanding, also.

You've leaped to top level work in a hurry!

That's so clean in addition to being a beautiful folder.
What's the material, Cocobolo(?) and what else?:thumbup::thumbup:

Kevin, you are right on. Cocobolo with black paper bolsters over black g10. Blade and spring are CPM 154CM

Thanks again guys.

I can only add more praise as this is a fantastic looking knife. Not a line out of place and the fit and finish look to be top shelf. Well done.
I've been looking for something like this and I'll be looking at your for sale ads for sure.

Great to see a traditional lockback. Love the mix and match scale materials too. Do more!
