Hi there~

I don't have right working place, so I'm working at my condo balcony 10 MIN each time.(noisy)

this work is 80% finish

steel : 1095 + ??? pattern welded
handle : micarta
tool : 100$ grinder (belt+wheel) + dremel

Is this good for first try?

and i'm looking for goooood belt sander (silence) recommend for me plz.
I'm living in calgary but I can't find knife belt sander.
 
Looks good. Are you heat treating the blade? Curious, because my first blade making project is at about the same stage as yours. As for belt sanders, Im not sure you're going to find a very quiet one. Ridged and Dewalt make a nice one with a 4" by 36" (if I remember correctly) belt, and a small spindle sander. Ive had my eye on one for a while now, but have yet to pull the trigger.
 
I gonna get heat treating service at "canadian knife supply" that close to my city.
