I've had many a knife, especially Spydercos, over the past few years and have never once owned a Military. I decided recently to change this.

In case you were wondering - it's awesome.

That is all.

Many thanks to all. It's crazy how light it is and how well it carries for a knife its size. I'm quite impressed.

It really is quite remarkable how light and slim it is. I didn't think it was possible to forget I'm carrying a 4-inch folder, but it is!

They are indeed! The M390 Exclusive came with Peel-Ply CF. So did some others, S30V, S90V, and BG-42. I just remembered the upcoming 52100 Sprint is suppose to have CF as well.

Very nice Millie! I have a plain jane Millie that I have fallen in love with. Yours is much nicer.

The M390 Sprint is a great way to start! Congrats

You got that right "Wire Edge" ;) because a few months back I got one here in a trade with one of my good BF Brothers and I haven't been able to put it down since. The M390 Military even unseated my C-60 Massad Ayoob model and my other Spyderco folders in my EDC rotation that I've loved so dearly and for so long.

I'm not at all categorically saying the M390 is the best blade steel on the planet but I will say that it's a near perfect blade steel for the C-36 Military model IMO. I've previously owned and used several of the Military model with different blade steels over the years and before I got the M390 I thought the XHP version of the Military was truly one to be envied but this M390 tops them all hands down in my most humble opinion. I've probably only sharpened the M390 maybe five times since July of last year which I believe was the month I got it.

It's hard to go wrong with the Spyderco Military model because all of them up till now have had good steel in them. One that I will always love is the older 440V full Spyderedged Military model>> I still wonder what an XHP Military would be like in full Spyderedge. Every Spyderco fan deserves to own at least one of the Military model>> they are an awesome, versatile folder.

What I like is that the knife actually fits my hand. Plus, it is very comfortable and secure.

You started out with one of the best d2!!! The knife is amazing with whatever steel might be on it.......but m390 is just about tops!!!
I have an s30v in camo G10 with a coated blade as my work knife.....takes a beating beautifully!!!
A Ti Millie that I can't say enough about......smoothest action ever!!
And a Cruwear Millie with red Putman scales......another absolute winner!!!
You know I have to ask......what's next??? Couple of cool sprints coming!!!
Congrats and enjoy that beauty!!

There hasn't been one of Spyderco's folders with a Titanium handle that I didn't like. You're absolutely right about the D-2 Military model being a good one but also don't forget the BG-42 model as well. Now going down memory lane I've already mentioned how much I liked the older 440V in full Spyderedge. But I'm also here to tell you all that the very first run, mid 90s ATS-34 version wasn't bad either. It's one model that they have always gone out of their way to make sure it had a good to excellent blade on it.

So far my dearly beloved M390 Military has been my ultimate favorite>> But I'm looking forward to what Spyderco has in store in the future for this iconic Golden, CO USA Earth model as far as blade steel and what they might surprise us with in handle material. The Military was meant to be used and used hard. And I can't do any damage to it no matter how hard I do use it.
