This is my first attempt at a mirror edge with the edge pro apex. It's far from perfect but close enough as makes me happy at the moment. A lot of thanks to all the guys here who gave tips and suggestions.
I am really quite happy because I was really puzzled that I couldn't get this knife sharp anymore with the sharpmaker or with the DMT aligner kit. I have used this knife a lot, opening sacks of fertilizer, some cement, nocking and trimming bamboo slats, cutting small mango branches, generally, a lot of farm chores. I have sharpened this a lot with the DMT aligner kit.
When I got my edge pro, I found out that I had increased the bevel angles of this knife to almost 60 degrees inclusive. No wonder, I could not longer get it sharp!
So now, I reprofiled at 15 degrees per side. I used 80 grit wet/dry glued on a tape blank as the heavy hitter. The wet/dry didn't cut flat, so I had to clean iit up with the 120.
Sorry for the crappy pic but it shows enough.
