I'm thinking about modding my Spyderco Harpy, and I was wondering if any of the more experienced modders here might have a suggestion for this newbie. I was thinking about either fitting it for a new handle all together, or applying green skate tape to the handle for better grip.

The grip tape works, but watch out for where you place it on the pocket clip side, it's basically 60 grit sandpaper with a plastic, adhesive backing.
The handle can be modded, but you have to make sure the lock and blade engage correctly, make sure the kick is still placed properly. Aside from that go to town with stencils, I find those are easier to fix/toss then the actual handle.
