Got my first Moore Maker in the mail today, it's a #5302 4 1/4 inch Cattle King (of course!), yellow jigged bone scales and 1095 blades. (Queen contract)

Quality is very high, the factory edges could be a tad sharper, but being 1095 a touch up will be quick and easy.

One thing that jumped out to me, is that even though it's built on Queens #49 frame, the main blade is more of a "Turkish clip" which to me at least is less common than on most Cattle King/Jumbo Stockman that I own. Also notice the Sheepsfoot blade, the nail nick is on the "right-handed" side where on most Stockman it's on the "left-handed" side.

Here is a picture next to my Queen #49 Cocobolo.

I like this one, thanks ot all the threads lately yellow handles are growing on me! :D

Good looking knife! I like that clip blade too. Yellow handled fever. Fortunately there's no known cure and it has been known to increase your knife handling pleasure.

The turkish clip appears to be there to clear the sheepfoot nick.
(if you didn't know knives, you wouldn't know what the heck that sentence meant:D )
Moore Maker is a great company to deal with, if a little pricey.
Replaced a knife with a soft snap instantly for me.

Nice looking knife and the steel should make it a pleasure to use.

Funny how those yellow handles creep up on you especially with that "antique jigging". I own a couple (Case Classic's) in that yellow. Did not especially like them at first, but they do grow on ya. :D

That hadn't occured to me, but your right. With the Sheepsfoot nail nick being on that side, the main blade would have to be lower to clear it.

I'm a big fan of Moore Maker. Congrats on getting one. I'm sure it will spend a lot of time in your pocket. You're right about the 1095 blades sharpening up like nothing.

I absolutly love Mooremaker knives. I've been carying a honey colored jigged bone stockman, model 5301 for several years as my EDC. Liked it so much I later picked up the 4 1/4 " stag scale 6302. I love the way these knives take an edge. By far my favorite carry. If I could figure out how to post a pic I would.

You're on your way to getting more of those.:D I've got 4 Mooremakers so far and Dave Moore is one of the nicest fellows you'll ever deal with.
