A few weeks ago, I bought a small Sebenza 31 bog oak, my first CRK, and quickly declared it as "too small" and promptly sold it. In the time between selling it and shipping it... I realized how wrong I was.

Today, I received this small Sebenza 31, with a black timascus Millit clip. It's been a fun afternoon!

LNIB, the action is stiff, and needs to be worked in. But dang, it's a nice looking and feeling knife. I *get it* now.

My only complaint -- the single stud on the blade. I really wish it was 2x, like the bog oak I held for a couple of days. Why? Because here in Minnesota, the weather is brutally cold. And (TMI), the skin on my right thumb cracks, and is painful to use or touch anything. Pretty much rely upon super glue to close up my cracked thumb skin. So, deploying the knife with my thumb is not the easiest thing, especially while the knife is new and stiff. A second thumb stud would help!

Anyway, it WILL get better.

But I wonder, what percentage of these leave the factory with double lugs? Or are they special order only?

Already thinking about a second one. First up, thinking about another bog oak to replace the one I sold too quickly. Or maybe black micarta? Or maybe... crap... This IS trouble... Do I get a large 31 or another small?!

As a knife that is made to be used, I plan to use the @#$! out of this knife. I think the knife and I both look forward to that!

Here are a few (terrible) photos.

I don’t know any percentages but I do see some double lugs in stock at dealers. Not as common but they do appear. You can always send it back to Crk and have them installed

I think recon1 only stocks doubled lug now so you may want to look there.
You are in trouble for sure. Lol
Might as well try a large. If you plan on using it as a hard worker the micarta and plain versions are best for that.

Yeah, get a large micarta double lugs. You won’t regret it. You can order one and if one pops up before your order is filled, then you can cancel the order.
The double lugs are more than the single and I suspect they’re ordered from dealers with single lugs as opposed to double lugs.

All Inkosis have double studs so you could always give one of them a try. Keep in mind in both inkosi and sebenza though there is no cutout on the lockbar side so the second stud can be difficult to use.
