This knife is forged 1095 that was clayed for a hamon. Fittings are etched wrought and the handle is Tule Elk. I appreciate any comments, and am happy to take any criticism. Thanks for looking.

And a bad pic of the sheath:

I think the knife looks great! It's hard to see the hamon, though. If you want it to stand out better for photos, try photographing the knife with a dark or black backdrop...not under the knife, but out of the picture behind or to the side of the knife, if that makes sense.

Very nice knife, not much to criticise there. Nice neat little sheath too. Good job all round.

That's a great looking knife. Is that really your first one?

I guess that came across wrong. It is not my first one made, just the first I have posted here. Thanks for all the comments. I will try to edit the title.

great looking knife Mike.. i like it a lot...

we were just in Jackson a few weeks ago...:)

The only problem I see is it isn't mine. Wrought Iron Stag (Elk) and 1095. Whats not to like. Great looking piece.

I was just up in Jackson last thursday :)

That is a fantastic looking knife ! As soon as I saw the handle was Tule elk I knew you were from this area.

Very classy looking blade.

Great work! Just wondering if that is your first knife or the first one posted on BFC? No matter really, it's beautiful!

Not my first knife made, just first posted here. Just got the knifemakers membership hoping to sell a few too.

I really appreciate all the comments. Also interesting that a few of you have recently passed through my neck of the woods.

As far as pics of the hamon goes, I need some practice. I just built a cheesy light box and will have to mess around with the black reflector to show them better. Again, thanks for looking.
