Hi. This is my first post here at BladeForums. I've been an avid knife collector for about 5 years now, and I have over 40 Spydercos, Cold Steels, Benchmades, Sogs, and various others.
Just wanted to say hi and I look forward to being a member of BladeForums community.

I hope you don't carry all of those knives around at once.

On the other hand, if you do, you'll fit right in.

shaldag: I normally wear at least 3 knives, sometimes up to 5 :o
For folders, I like Spyderco's the best; but for fixed-blades, SOG takes the cake for me. Cold Steel has some cool stuff (Kobun, Ti-lite, push-knives). I just make sure to keep my EDC hidden well; my colleagues in my department at JHU are liberal through and through, and hence disapprove of anything more than a SAK.

You will find that you are not the only person on these forums who works at a University.

what took you so long? i was expecing you to say something like you owned one SAK and your fathers buck or something.
