I don't post much, but I wanted to share a picture of a knife that I recently completed. The knife is the first recurve I've ever made and the first I've had professionally photographed. Marty Stanfield @dms_captures did a wonderful job photographing the knife (IMHO). The OAL of the knife is about 8” with a cutting edge of approximately 3.5”. The blade steel is CPM154 flat ground with a satin finish. The blade also has an unsharpened swedge. The handle is made of black and charcoal gray G10 with 3 carbon fiber pins. Thanks for looking.

The knife is worthy of showing off, and Marty did it RIGHT. It's testament to how important it is to look and show your BEST!

Good thread.

Nice looking knife. Well deserving of a good photo.

I'm a Durban Devil too!:D (born and raised)

Who in SA taught you to make knives?:)

Thank you! I've been hesitant to have any of my knives professionally photographed. I look at the photos taken by Marty, You, Caleb, Chuck and others and didn't think my knives were in that caliber. Still don't, but I liked this one well enough that I decided to have it done.

Love the Durban area. When I transferred to Pretoria I met Gawie and Thinus Herbst and took a weekend course from them. Great, and talented guys
