Some start out with a Trapper. Some start out with a Stockman. I started out with the Little Chipper (thank you FK!)! Great WH-type clip case, with great ebony wood. I KNOW its intended as a chip carver, but I think I'll carry it as an EDC slipjoint. Very tight backspring, great integration from bolster to the ebony scale material. Great brass liners and pins. Half-stop, and that great Queen D2 (complete with a convex edge courtesy of FK- who also sent me some leather and compound). Come to think of it, FK is a GREAT guy to deal with!

Sincerely,
Anthony

Great choice. Not that I own that model, but I sure like the D2 Queens.

Did FK customize it for you or have I missed a new material while I was asleep :).

Glad you are happy with it!

Bastid, FK didn't customize the knife for me, other than putting the edge on it. The knife is actually made by Queen for another company which sells the chip-carving knives in MANY different materials, from Ebony to bone and Ivory, IIRC. He had a link to their website on his "for sale" ad, but you can also get there by putting Little Chipper in the subject line of a search engine. Altogether, a great knife!

Edited to add that the homepage for the knife is www.littlechipper.com .
