Just got my first Rat Cutlery Knives! RC-5 and Izula. Great knives!
Did a wrap on the Izula, Sharpened both today, anyone know whats a good grit to finish on these 1095 blades? Thanks!

i recognize that rope you use to wrap your Izula, it's that camping nylon rope you can buy for $3. How come you didn't use paracord?
 
not really, just paracord is a much softer, less abrasive, longer lasting, and stronger rope. But most people rewrap their knife so often it doesn't really matter, i was just wondering why he chose a nylon over paracord.
 
The wrap is Kelty Triptease its used for Guy lines for tents, I chose this because I liked the smaller diameter of the cord, I just wanted alittle more grip(without the bulk) Plus the cord was reflective. Oh and as far strength its has a Dyneema core.

Yum. Those are the first 2 RAT knives I want to get. I figures the Izula first then the RC5

Great blades, they make a great combo! The Izula and RC 5. The Izula and ANY of the other RATs is a great combo.
