Picked up this Gransfors Bruks Small Forest axe last night at LL Bean. Had enough gift cards to only have to pay $6.79 for it. Not bad.

Any tips or tricks on how to attach an axe to a pack without loosing it? Pictures would be great.

All of my packs, even a couple of old surplus ones, have loops or straps where I can attach my axe.

Congrats on the axe

I just bought same axe, from same forger (AS as it writes on head of your axe) but after chopping down one 6 inch thick pinewood there were scratches on the edge!!!!!!!!!

Gransfors SFA, Wetterlings LHA, or any 20" handless (and less) should fit inside a backpack no problem. I've done this many times.

Nice, LLBean has the best prices on GB stuff, and free shipping, I believe.
There is a Lee Valley near me though so I go there and pick the one with the nicest handle.
