Well, I received my first Busse blade today!!!
A Jungle Green Team Gemini Light Brigade with the Green and Black G10 scales. I gotta say, it is a really sweet knife!
I know they're not for everyone, but I personally really like the double guard. The G10 color I chose goes really well with the Jungle Green blade. Here are a couple crappy pictures of it:
I also have a number of similarly sized Swamp Rat blades. They are the Battle Guard, the Chopweiler, and the EH3 Mini Mojo. Here are a few group shots from slightly different angles (pardon the poor spot from the flash):
Of these three Swamp Rat models, the Chopweiler is the closest in size to the TGLB. However, these two have a completely different feel to them when you pick them up, even though they both balance basically just forward of the top of the grip. First and foremost, the CW feels a lot heavier, where the TGLB swings much easier. The handles do feel a lot different, especially since the TGLB has 3D contoured G10 versus the basically flat CW (the green one has black G10 handles), but personally I like them both. To me, the handle designs suit the tasks both knives were designed for. Anyway, here are a few back-to-back pics of the Green CW and my TGLB:
Overall, I am quite happy with the Team Gemini Light Brigade series. I am still on the fence whether I should have gotten the Tanker Grey with Blue and black G10 (and I might still), but it is a sweet knife. Now to build the courage up to go out and beat on it this weekend.
Great job Busse gang!!!
