Here you go

first impression: sweet and small!
a bit of a background... i have been talking to lx emergency for quite some time purchased a reground ganzo and a file knife, but i also wanted a knife of my own. also i am a but impatient/jumpy... and i tend to spend money when i have it (that's why my wife is managing finances
). so "my knife" went through tons of iterations... starting with an archery knife and moving from there into edc territory and back.
so i think it was during one of those bouts that brisa had a special discount on odin's eye damasteel, and i basically pressured alexander in buying the two bars, offering to pay for some of the expenses... and well.. i guess the rest is almost history.
basically i sketched a rough layout and gave alexander some parameters to work with and waited for his reply. we would then go over the options and we'd decide on the best course of action. of course i relied heavily on his experience as i sort of knew what i wanted but didn't really know whether it was feasible or even made sense.
the general blade shape was quickly established and a bit modified. i wanted a slicer with a sort of wharncliff shape but a bit of belly... but also pointier than for example a santoku. also it should use the full height of damasteel bar for a nice pattern and easy angle.

the grip was sort of a compromise. it needed to acommodate 3 finger easily but wasn't to be for heavy duty work. still alexander came up with the fish tail to place the pinky on.

i wanted a fairly simple and clean look, so black and white on orange liners and steel pins:

sadly on scale got bent a little while drying, so the gap had to be filled with epoxy, no biggie and alexander always the gentleman was really heartbroken about it and true and honest in his communication.
the grind on this one is nice and even as far as i can tell, and i have bald spots on arms and legs to prove the sharpness.

so i am really happy with this little blade and looking forward to carrying it alot!
here are some more pictures:
