After some careful consideration I just ordered a VG10 plain edge Spyderco Delica from www.knifeworks.com...It appears to be just what I'm looking for...something light...tough & a good blade steel...I've had a Spyderco Ladybug on my keychain for about 2 yrs now and havent had a single problem with it...Does that count ?? I guess as most people say...you really cant go wrong with a Spyderco :)

Here is the knife & some details...

This Spyderco Delica features a 3" VG-10 blade with Reinforced fiberglass handles. The lockback features the David Boyle dent in the locking lever. A black reversible pocket clip that provides tip up carry. Overall length 7", Closed Length 4", Blade thickness 3/32", Weight 1.9 ounces

It's a great little knife. I have the Endura in VG-10, and it is excellent. I prefer the more ergonomic design of the Calypso Jr Lwt. for my small EDC, but if you don't mind having only a fingerguard in the handle instead of a choil in the tang, it's a great, reliable design that's a proven favorite.

My first Spydie was the Delica SE, in VG-10. Super sharp from the box, excellent grip, in short--overall great knife, hasn't let me down yet. Except for cutting some tar paper, blade went dull!!:( That VG-10 steel is easy to sharpen though, I got the edge back after a little work.

You won't be disappointed. There are many SpydieKnuts that started out with the Delica. ;)
