I have a Ubejane in bound. I'm really looking forward to it. I've always coveted a Randall 19. The Ubejane appears to be an updated and improved design similar to the 19, stronger, more practical, and less expensive.

Roshi,
Never fear, anything you get from Chris Reeve will be as good of a knife that you could want.
The Randall # 19 is indeed a Randall along with the 4yr.+4mos. waiting time. I have 7 Randalls now but by 2008 I should have 10 total...thats enough for me!
For a knife that you can be sure you can count on when the chips are down then the CRK's can't be beat and they have some of the best customer service in the knife world!

Good Choice!

roshi,

that is excellent. congrats! i just got my first CRK fixed blade as well. MK VI, and i can't wait to use it. very well made, as any of CRK knives, and has good heft and feel. grip is awesome too.

good luck to you and your new CRK blade...

Got the Ubejane yesterday and couldn't be pleased more. Exactly what I was looking for. I have small hands and was concerned about the girth of the grip. Ideally it would be a bit smaller but it's OK.

Ubejane is awesome indeed :D

i know this is a late post, but how are the handle ergonomics after using it for extended periods of time?
