I started working on this knife this morn I did not like the handle that was on it so I took it off and replaced it with some stag. iI posted some pics the first on is before I started and then after that you can see what I did. Please give me some input on how it looks. This is the first time I tried something like this and do not know if the handle is to long. Thanks for any input. John

I like the curved horn much better. Very nice job!
Thank you very much. I must admit I was scared to remove the original handle but I realy did not like it so I figued what the he!! and went for it. I like the way it looks but I am biest, so thank you again for your input. John

John, great job!! the curve looks like it would be much more comfort able in the hand and easier to draw when needed. Stupid ? how did you get the old handle off?

The long handle does make it easier to draw the knife from the back, side and front left side. I cut slowly into the handle with my dremal and a tunckston carbid bit (not sure if that is spelled right) until I could see the blade handle. Then I cut down the middle and spreded the two sides and off came the handle. It was fairly simple considering I realy did not know what I was doing and was working with your everyday tools nothing special for knife making. Thanks for the input. If you have any more questions post them and I will be happy to answer them the best I can. Thanks John
