Jus picked up this beauty. From the stamp its 20's or 30's. Really dark ebony on one side and lighter on the other. The inforamtion out there says that according to the model number, R1061, the 1 at the end of the number indicates Redwood? Anyway its 3 3/8, hard snapping. Sharpened up just great and I have even just now cut my finger closing the pen blade, it shuts really fast!

Man, I like that. After carrying my GEC boys jack for a couple weeks, I have come to really appreciate that pattern. A great little knife.

Really nice find. From the Bay, or a shop?

Dave, knives like that are the reason I got a GEC boy's knife - I love everything about this design. Great score!

Yep The Bay. It was one of them "Make Offer" deals. Got lucky I think.

You lucked out with this piece. Depends how much coin you dropped, but you really lucked out with this one. Absolutely spectacular. Remington made a great knife.

Blades are in great shape with the exception of that recurve going on with the main. Amazing how well these things sharpen up. Im with bwperdue, this and the Boys knife /GEC barlow are one of the best designs for EDC I can think of!

excellent knife! the lighter side looks like rosewood, the darker side looks like ebony, so im not sure either, but i love the blade configuration!
